Ollie Golightly is a Toronto company dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed products for parents and their kids. The company was founded in 2007 by Geneviève and Chris Metropolis. As new parents, they spent a lot of time researching various baby gear, and often found the choices available lacking in design appeal. They saw a fantastic opportunity to provide some fresh options for hip parents, and Ollie Golightly was born. Geneviève, a communication designer, brought her love of fine textiles, her graphic sensibility, and her eye for detail to the design of their first product, the Ollie Golightly sling. Chris is the brains behind this fabulous website.
Ollie Golightly is committed to community and to preserving the environment for future generations. All of our printing is done on 100% recycled paper with vegetable based inks. Each of our slings is made locally in a sweat-shop free environment. We are currently developing a line of slings created from organic, fairly trade, vegetable-dyed textiles. Wherever possible we strive to lighten our environmental footprint, and to contribute positively to our community.
